The High Lands

No New Posts Northern Coast }

The northern coast is one of the few remaining areas where stallions can claim mares or weaned foals for their herd. The scenery is pretty; the coast looks over the expansive ravine that has lead many an equine to their death.

No New Posts The Drop-Off }

The drop off is the slowly crumbling, receding lip of the coast. Below it is the ravine which leads to a gorge. There used to be a river running right across this drop off, but it's dried up long ago. Hardy shrubs and some weak grass grows here.

No New Posts Hillside }

The hillside is steep and many a lightfooted equine has trouble getting down. Most of the grass has thickened and grown here, and provides a great meal if you want to struggle for it. It's dangerous in the spring, thanks to running water rushing down and dislocating stepholds.

No New Posts The Chaos Mountain Range }

The hardy land of the forest free mountain range was covered in stone and thick patches of grass, separating the hillside from the valley entrance. Water as well as shade was hard to find, though it was no matter as rain was constant and sun hardly ever shone so high in the cloudy sky. Named after the famed Chaos himself the mountains are very dangerous and should you enter, be ready to never escape the wrath of the terra, let alone the stallion who runs it.

No New Posts Entrance to the Valley }

Grass begins to spread out and grow thin, but the ground has become fertile and easy to see where the health lies in the land. This is the entrance to the valley; it provides haven for outcasts and motherless foals who have yet to be claimed. Mares and foals cannot be claimed while in the entrance zone.

The Valley

No New Posts Valley Meadows }

The meadow is a long stretch of healthy growing grass that provides a great grazing place for herds. It banks close to the river that has since become a wanted attraction, and gives every equine enough drink and food to last.

No New Posts Torrid Pond }

Not large enough to be a lake, the second claiming spot for the Valley equines has proven to be successful. The pond is used more for bathing than drinking, and the river connects to it thanks to the ever pulling undertow leading it from the low lands.

No New Posts Riverbank }

The river that trickles through the valley is usually crystal clear and is very refreshing to drink on a warm summer day. Around the river there are frail shrubs and thick patches of grass, and foals love to play around here as the water proves to be a good friend.

The land is found smack dab in the middle of The Valley, just East of the River. It's nestled comfortably between the waters and the Meadows, allowing for plentiful food on one side and the opportunity for grazing on the other. Most of the herds land consists of lightly forested grassland, though toward the Riverbank the trees thicken, offering a thick canopy for the winter and rainy days.The borders are marked clearly, and though the occasional visitor or passer byer is permitted, if Dosetai or one of his herd members sees you acting suspicious, you may fall victim to this close knit herd.

No New Posts Whispering Trees }

One of the two claiming areas in the Valley, there is a random cluster of trees just north of the riverbanks; theres about ten to twelve trees that seem to have grown close together. Their leaves are bitter but the soft bark beneath is great.

No New Posts Claimable Land }

This land is available to be claimed; it's west of the river and is close to the low lands entrance. Please keep in mind the other settings of the valley when posting a claiming thread.

The Low Lands

No New Posts Entrance to the Low Lands } - 1 Viewing

Unlike the entrance into the valley, the low lands introduction is their claiming spot. If an unclaimed equine is spotted here, mare, foal or stallion, they are free game. Trees have become much more frequent here, as well as low laying shrubs and thin grass.

No New Posts Thinning Forestry } - 1 Viewing

The low lands consists mainly of forestry; since the entrance the trees are becoming much more spread out and easy to graze within. This part of the forest is thin and many equines are more comfortable here than in other parts.

No New Posts Running Falls }

More of a falling brook than an actual waterfall, this is the source of water for the low land herds and is considered a sacred ground due to its proximity to the gorge.

No New Posts Psycho's Drop }

Young herd, young land. Psycho is lead stallion with a lot on his plate, he has to take extra care of his herd because of how close they all are to death if one takes a wrong move. There isn't a lot of grazing space but thankfully they are within walking distance of the clearing meadow and the falls.

No New Posts The Gorge }

Rumored to have killed more equines than Father Time himself, the gorge is no place for a clumsy horse. Brittle and dying shrubs grow and die here, and the crumbling lip is far to dangerous to even attempt walking towards.

No New Posts Grazing Clearing }

Oddly, there's a random clearing in the Low Lands that many of the herds flock to during drought season. Sprinkled by rain every so often, the grass doesn't need much to support itself. Fiercely protected by the herd in the Low Lands, it's been used rarely.
